BCS Computer Rankings Week Three: Oregon Gets Their Due

Oregon came in to this weekend with a relatively poor .740 share from the computers, as their strength of schedule had a really dampening of the effect of their run through their early part of the schedule.

That all changes this weekend after the Ducks beat USC in the Coliseum, they saw their computer rankings jump an astounding .210 points and give them enough to jump Auburn in this week’s BCS rankings.

Auburn remains the top team in the computers, coming in this week with a perfect computer ranking of 1.000 while collecting the top spot in all six computers.

TCU comes in at No. 3 which helped them go from No. 4 to No. 3 in the BCS rankings this weekend.

Despite their loss, Missouri stays in the top five in the computer rankings, coming it at No. 4 with a .870 share.

So, here’s what the top of each computer ranking looked like:

Can someone please explain to me how Missouri is still ranked 4th by the computers? This makes no sense. Even if you take strength of schedule, they were beat bad by Nebraska and shouldn't be ranked that high.

And for that matter how is Oklahoma ranked so highly after getting spanked by the same mizzou team that got ripped apart by the huskers? Shouldn't Ohio state be up there a little higher considering their only loss to Wisconsin who beat Iowa which bet Michigan state? This whole thing is so biased toward big 12 and sec teams...give some respect to PAC 10 and mwc...
