Watching the Heisman Watchmen Week 12: Moore Makes His Move
For what felt like weeks on end, it seemed that the Heisman races was a two-horse show — the two biggest guns on the two best teams in the nation.
LaMichael James and Cam Newton seemed to be running away (both literally and figuratively) from the rest of the Heisman field and looked like they had no intention of turning back.
However, with a bye week in their way and a less than stellar performance from James, the almost forgotten third member of the immediate Heisman chase is certainly right back in it.
Kellen Moore has begun to pick up some of the support that Newton and James took away from him earlier this season, and has slide past James in a variety of Heisman Watch lists.
With just two more games on all three Heisman hopefuls’ remaining schedule, this year’s race has seemingly never been as tight as it is this week, and we could be in store for yet another close finish in Heisman balloting.

Again a first-place vote is worth five points, a second-place four, and so on until a fifth place vote is worth one point.
