Watching the Heisman Watchmen Week Nine: James and Newton Pull Away
Oregon and Auburn seem to be the best two teams in the nation, but you’ll be hard pressed to find a consensus on which team is truly superior.
In the Heisman race, Auburn’s star quarterback Cam Newton has been the clear-cut favorite for the trophy for a few weeks now, however, Oregon’s star — LaMichael James — is starting to make that conversation absolute.
After strong performances on the road in dominant victories by both contenders the Heisman race may have already been cut to two — with Newton currently holding the collective admiration of the country.
But watch out, James is rising fast in second position, and could easily be the favorite with just one poor performance from Newton.
Off to the races!

2. LaMichael James
3. Kellen Moore
