Weekly Update: Week 1 Preview
Looks like we’re going start just where we left off last season, with the Florida Gators riding above the rest of the pack. But this season is barely started, and we may not really be able to see a clear picture until the BCS standings are finally released, weeks from now.
Waiting in the wings are traditional powers, as usual. USC, Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama and Virginia Tech are all waiting for a slip up from the infallible Tim Tebow and Gator crew. Heisman hopefuls and interesting stories are waiting for the day when hell freezes over, when Tebow and the Gators lose, but that day may not come.
At this point, if we were to use the AP poll instead of the Harris, which doesn’t come out until after the fourth week of play, and the Coaches poll (as is normal), the BCS standings wouldn’t surprise a fourth grader. Both polls have the same top five, and are so distinct in their rankings, that very little could be done by the computer rankings to change the top five, or even the top seven. At eight the disagreements begin, but that’s why they play the games, right?
Anyways, expect a lot from BCS Know How this season, as we begin to hit our stride. Newsletters will be more professional, Heisman updates more interesting, less long and straight to the point, Weekly Updates about things we actually know about at BCS Know How, and so on.
So keep tuned, sign up for the newsletter, and get ready for another great season of BCS Know How.
